The digital makerspace / 18+
Bring an idea.
Or just your curiosity.
We come together to make cool shit and learn along the way. Code, AI, 3D printing, electronics. Whatever gets the idea out of your head and into the world.
Ideas welcome. Experience optional.
S3D Labs is a digital makerspace: a place to bring a half-formed idea, a stubborn problem, or the simple question, "What happens if we try this?" We bring different skills together and figure it out as we go.
You can write the code, design the part, ask your first question, or help someone else get unstuck. This is an 18+ community where curiosity counts, unfinished projects belong, and learning is part of the build.
Community labs
Web apps, automation, scripting, debugging, and practical software projects that help members move from idea to working tool.
Prompting, agent workflows, local tools, image and text experiments, and applied AI for makers who want results they can test.
FDM and resin printing, slicer tuning, material choices, model repair, functional parts, props, brackets, mounts, and prototypes.
Microcontrollers, wiring, sensors, LEDs, enclosures, repair, testing, and the patient art of finding the wire that betrayed you.
Built in the lab
Community tools, local AI, and a little less friction. Open a project to see what we're building.
The S3D Labs assistant. Helping members get settled, find their people, and keep the community moving.
Syd handles rules-reaction onboarding, self-selected specialty roles, dice rolls, and practical moderation tools.
A connected bot, manager, and player for organizing video requests and keeping a stream's queue moving.
LinkCue brings request intake, queue management, and playback together. Its Twitch commands let viewers add requests and check the queue, while the manager gives the host a central control panel.
Still in development and awaiting live testing. The suite is being reworked as we refine the workflow.
A local-first AI workspace for coding, documents, and experiments with image and video generation.
The Brain brings chat, selected project files, local conversation history, and reviewed code changes into one workspace. CPU inference is the default, with optional GPU acceleration.
An early foundation, with models installed separately. Media quality, GPU support, and Windows operation need validation on the target hardware.
Spend less time hunting through rulebooks. Search your own TTRPG PDF collection from a local desktop workspace.
Codex Engine indexes PDF text locally, searches across enabled books, and opens results in a built-in page reader or the original PDF.
S3D services
Bring your STL or 3MF file and tell us what you want to make. We can talk through FDM or resin, materials, and the details together.
Talk about your printModify an existing model, customize a store item, or start from scratch with a design brief and any reference files you already have.
Talk about your designGet help thinking through small builds, wiring plans, component choices, enclosures, mounts, and the practical next step for a working prototype.
Talk about your prototypeHow collaboration works
Post your goal, file, reference, sketch, or question. Rough ideas are welcome if the next step is clear.
Members help you tighten specs, catch risks, choose tools, and decide what is worth building first.
Make the first version. Test it, break it, share what you learned, and build the next one together.
Start a conversation
A sketch, a file, a question, or just curiosity. Come tell us about it, and we'll figure out the next step together.
